14-17 Haziran tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilen Kore Dünya Seyahat Fuarının (KOTFA 2018) 33. süne Profesyonel Turist Rehberi ve Çaro Yönetim kurulu üyesi Özge Tolga ile katıldık, Kotfa Organizasyon Komitesi verilerine göre bu yıl (2018) toplamda bu fuara 46 ülke, 417 firma ve kurum katıldı ve fuarda 542 stand mevcuttu. Yaklaşık 700 kişiyle B2B (Business to Business) görüşmeleri gerçekleştirildi. Çanakkale adına B2B görüşmelerinin yanısıra KBC, MBC, SMS gibi önemli televizyon kanallarıyla da görüşüldü. Çanakkale "Best Publicity"  ödülünü aldı. 

 

 Dear Valued Exhibitors, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all your efforts which enabled us to make the 33rd Korea World Travel Fair (KOTFA 2018), held in COEX in Seoul from June 14th(Thur.) until June 17th(Sun.), 2018. KOTFA 2018 Organizing Committee (Shin Joong-Mok, Chairman) selected the theme ‘Pause on the road’ and focused on setting off a tourism boom in Korean market. We tried our best to reinforce the contents to fulfill our role as a rich cultural tourism exhibition by collaborating with international tourism organizations and international travel fairs, hosting the first Korea Tourism Innovation Award ceremony, International Tourism Seminar and other experience oriented programs. Even though there were Korean local election and 2018 FIFA World Cup which might decrease the interest in our fair, this year’s event brought together a total of 46 countries, 417 companies and organizations in 542 booths promoting the latest travel information and trends to the 72,542 people who visited the exhibition. In addition, about 700 consultations were held through B2B programs (Inbound&Intrabound and Outbound Travel Marts, Media Meetings) and about 700 people attended the tourism presentation “The Gosu Garasadae” providing the heightened interest in FIT(Foreign Independent Traveling). The themed talk show was much acclaimed from the visitors by offering useful tourism information. The special travel package sales zone and chef’s summit, a part of Seoul Food Festival, satisfied the participants who are interested in experiencing themed trips. According to participants’ and visitors’ survey this year, China booth was impressive in terms of its main theme ‘Mountain trekking’ and a variety of traditional performances every day. Gangwondo decorating the booths with the theme ‘Road’, Gangjin and Suncheon coming with the unique photo zones, Festival and Temple Stay pavilions also left intense impression to the visitors. Since we were told that interview and coverage through the international media helped the exhibitors to promote the exhibitions, we will continue further cooperation with international organizations and media. The 34th Korea World Travel Fair will be held at Hall A and B1 of COEX from June 6th (Thur.) until June 9th (Sun.), 2019. For the next fair, we will attract more domestic and international participants, enabling the expansion and diversifying the event as a whole, providing better services and content by strengthening B2B programs (InboundOutbound-Intrabound Travel Marts). As years pass, we promise to continue developing the Korea World Travel Fair as a marketplace of Korean tourism with a high reputation and international competitiveness. It will be more appreciated if you give us the constructive suggestions and advices on our fairs. Reflecting your opinions last year, we changed the opening ceremony format from ribbon cutting to unveiling ceremony and stopped sending out the invitation letters to the kindergartners so that we could contribute to creating more values for our exhibitors. We are always open to hear your opinions, and promise to be more upgraded for the next fairs.
